Siri in iOS 27 Will Finally Handle Multiple Commands at Once
Apple is finally fixing one of Siri’s most annoying habits and shortfalls. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the upcoming iOS 27 update will allow Siri to tackle more than one request at a time. It’s a massive finally for anyone tired of waiting for the assistant to finish one task before asking for the next.
For years, talking to Siri has felt a bit like waiting in a slow-moving line. You’d ask to turn off the lights, wait for the confirmation, and then ask to set a timer. With this new update, Gurman says you can just string it all together. You could tell Siri to “shut the garage door, set the alarm for 7:00 AM, and text my wife I’m home” all in one go.
The next AI Siri will be powered by Google’s Gemini so it will definitely be borrowing some smarts from the latter.
This change is part of Apple’s bigger plan to make its AI feel more like a real person and less like a basic voice trigger. By processing multiple tasks at the same time, Siri is finally catching up to the more advanced AI assistants that have been stealing the spotlight lately.
We’ll likely see the full reveal of iOS 27 later this year at WWDC of course. If Gurman’s report holds up, it means a much smoother experience for anyone juggling a smart home or a busy schedule from their iPhone. In other news, Apple users continue to wait for the AI Siri overhaul to appear. At this time, we will likely see everything unveiled at WWDC.
