No More Cheap Data? Public Mobile Raises Entry Price for 4G Users

Last week, Public Mobile made some changes to its website to say its prepaid 4G plans were set to end on April 6. Fast forward one day later, and now Public Mobile has revamped its plans.

Here are the new Public Mobile plans as of April 7, 2026:

As you can see, the $35 5G plan now gains 5GB more data, while the $22 talk and text plan loses 500MB. Customers will need to pay at least $25 to get data, as the latter plan previously was $23/2GB. The $26 plan went up in price by $1 and gained 5GB, while the $30 4G plan saw a 5GB data gain.

Public Mobile’s $40 and $50 5G Canada-US-Mexico plans have not changed.

Earlier today, Public Mobile launched a fast switch option that was created to easily funnel users towards Koodo and its postpaid plans.
