Freedom Mobile Revamps Plans: Data Buckets Cut as New 5G Options Arrive
Freedom Mobile has revamped its plans list on Thursday, removing previous promos that were set to on April 7.
Here are the current postpaid plans from Freedom Mobile as of April 9, 2026:
- $35/80GB (was 25GB) + 1GB Roam Beyond (expires April 9)
- $40/100GB (was 60GB) + 5GB Roam Beyond
- $45/175GB + 10GB Roam Beyond (new)
- $50/100GB (was 175GB) + 10GB Roam Beyond
- $60/250GB (was 150GB) + 20GB Roam Beyond
$70/200GB + 30GB Roam Beyond (new)$80/250GB + 50GB Roam Beyond (new)
Update April 9, 2026, 9:47am PT: Looks like Freedom Mobile has edited its website again after we published our initial story. The $35 plan now has 80GB, plus there’s now a $45/175GB plan. The $70 and $80 plans have been eliminated.
As for changes, promo data buckets are gone, resulting in much lower data for the $40, $50 and $60 plans. But really, who can go through 100 to 250GB of data? Also back now are $70/200GB and $80/250GB plans, making for a total of six 5G plans now instead of four. It’s clear right now is the worst time to jump on a new cellphone plan, especially when we’ve seen Freedom Mobile offer a $40/250GB global roaming plan.
Freedom Mobile recently stated it would be spending $700 million this year alone to build out its own cell towers, as the company continues to put pressure on Rogers, Telus and Bell through its lower pricing.

They just added a $35 80 GB plan.
That was fast. Thanks, updated the plans list again!
Freedom mobile will sell you defective devices and then try to send million dollar bills for collections
We upgrade 3x phones every other Black Friday. 12+ androids and 1 iPhone, going back to when they were wind. No issues with any. Rogers on the other hand has a network that failed to connect when we needed them at a critical time.
I just got an $85/mth plan with 250gb of data for $50/mth.
The $80.00 for 250 GB is back. Glad I snagged it for $40.00.
