Leaked iPhone 18 Pro Colours Show ‘Dark Cherry’ Shade

In a leaked image allegedly showing the iPhone 18 Pro’s palette of four colours, a standout new “Dark Cherry” finish can be be seen that is expected to replace last year’s bold Cosmic Orange (via MacRumors).

According to Chinese leaker Ice Universe, Apple is testing a wine-like red shade as the “hero” colour for 2026. While previous whispers hinted at a more traditional deep red, latest reports describe this specific hue as a sophisticated Dark Cherry.

This choice would move the Pro lineup away from the high-energy, bright tones of the iPhone 17 Pro and back toward the more muted, luxury-inspired aesthetic Apple often prefers for its high-end models.

The leak suggests that Apple is exploring four distinct options for the iPhone 18 Pro’s titanium frame:

  • Dark Cherry: A deep burgundy or wine-red shade that serves as the headline update.
  • Light Blue: A softer, pastel-like blue that reportedly shares some DNA with the “Sierra Blue” from the iPhone 13 Pro era.
  • Dark Gray: A professional, neutral tone that could sit somewhere between the old Space Black and Graphite finishes.
  • Silver: The classic Apple staple, expected to remain a constant for those who prefer a traditional look.

Industry insiders note that because the devices have not yet entered mass production, these choices are not final. Apple often tests more colours than it actually releases. For instance, the company was rumoured to be working on a black version of the iPhone 17 Pro that never actually made it to store shelves.

Under the hood, the new A20 Pro chip is set to be the star. Built on a cutting-edge 2nm process, this processor should provide a 15% speed boost and significantly better battery efficiency. Photography enthusiasts also have something to look forward to, as rumours persist about a new variable aperture system.

Interestingly, Apple might be changing how it releases its phones. There is a rumour that only the Pro models and a new foldable iPhone will debut in September 2026. The standard iPhone 18 models might be held back until early 2027.
