Control: Ultimate Edition is Now Available on iPhone and iPad

Remedy Entertainment’s Control: Ultimate Edition is now available on iPhone and iPad. The game, which has been optomized for mobile platforms, can be purchased from the App Store.

Announced six months ago, Control: Ultimate Edition is now playable across many of Apple’s core devices. Remedy Entertainment explains that the port of the beloved 2019 action-adventure game arrives with touch controls, a reworked interface and refined gameplay systems. As a universal purchase, buying it once on the App Store allows you to play across all devices within Apple’s ecosystem.

Control: Ultimate Edition is the all-in-one package that includes the base game, which launched in 2019. In Control, you take on the role of Jesse Faden, the newly appointed director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). Searching the Oldest House for her kidnapped brother, Jesse comes across the Hiss infestation and must battle deadly enemies in a pursuit of uncovering the secrets within.

One year following the launch of Control, Remedy Entertainment released Control: Ultimate Edition, which includes the Foundation and AWE (Altered World Events) expansions. In both cases, the expansions add more depth to Jesse’s story and expands on the universe. The AWE expansion, however, bridges between Control and Alan Wake 2, which released in 2023.

The arrival of Control: Ultimate Edition comes at no better time as Control Resonant, the sequel to the series, is due to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime this year.

Control: Ultimate Edition released earlier on macOS last year on March 26. A release of the game on Vision Pro had previously been annoucned by Remedy Entertainment. However, we’re still awaiting more information on that launch.
