Netflix App Redesign Brings “My Netflix” Tab

Netflix has announced a series of major updates to its mobile app, including a dedicated space called “My Netflix,” which serves as a one-stop shop for everything you’ve interacted with on the service.

The mobile experience has often felt like a condensed version of the TV interface, but these latest changes acknowledge that mobile users have different habits. The biggest change is the replacement of the old Downloads tab with a more robust feature called My Netflix.

Located at the bottom right of the screen, this tab acts as a personal command centre. It consolidates your Must Watch list, the shows you’ve given a Thumbs Up to, and your downloaded content into a single, easy-to-navigate feed.

Previously, if you wanted to find a movie you saved three months ago, you might have had to dig through various rows on the home screen. Now, the My Netflix tab keeps your most relevant content front and centre. It also includes trailers you’ve watched and reminders for upcoming releases you’ve expressed interest in. The more you interact with the app, the more tailored this tab becomes.

Beyond the personal hub, Netflix is introducing new ways to sample content before committing to a full episode. This includes improved Live Previews and a more intuitive way to share what you’re watching with friends.

The rollout has already begun for iOS users globally, with an Android update expected to follow shortly.
