Google Announces Major Android Event for May 12 Ahead of Google I/O
Google has just announced that The Android Show, I/O Edition, coming next week. This virtual event is set for May 12 at 10am PT/1pm ET and will showcase why “this is one of the biggest years for Android yet,” according to a spokesperson to iPhone in Canada in an email.
The Android Show will hit ahead of Google I/O that will take place on May 19-20, the company’s annual developer conference held in Mountain View, California.
You may recall Google announced The Android Show last year as well, similarly one week before Google I/O. Last year Google unveiled major Android and Wear OS design updates for its Pixel devices.
You can check the teaser trailer below and get ready for the latest Android news next week. Of course, all of this will take place ahead of Apple’s own developer conference, WWDC, which isn’t coming until June.
