Crave Expands Beyond Streaming With Podcasts, News and Sports

Crave is evolving into more than a place to watch TV shows and movies.

Bell Media announced Thursday that the streaming service is expanding into a platform Canadians can use throughout the day, building on the recent launch of its Sports and News Hubs with the addition of select podcasts coming soon.

“At its core, this is about building a product that fits naturally into people’s daily routines,” said Jerrell Jimerson, Senior Vice-President and Head of Product & Experience, Bell Media, in a statement on Thursday. “Streaming solved access to content. The opportunity now is creating experiences that meet people in the moment. Crave has always been home to world-class entertainment. Now, with news, live sports, and podcasts, it’s becoming a dynamic, all-in-one platform that evolves with its audience.”

The Sports and News Hubs give subscribers access to live coverage including FIFA World Cup 2026, NFL games, PGA TOUR events, breaking news, and major live entertainment events.

On the podcast front, Crave will soon add a selection of English and French video podcasts, including titles from iHeartRadio Canada. The lineup will span news, sports, entertainment, true crime, lifestyle, and culture, mixing original productions with acquired titles.

Bell Media says the podcast addition is designed for lean-back viewing and longer watch sessions, rounding out what the company is positioning as an all-day entertainment destination. Podcasts have grown in huge popularity over the years and the addition to Crave is a bit late, but it looks to be a way for Bell to keep you glued to its streaming service.
