OpenTable Signs Multi-Year Lease for New Toronto Office

OpenTable has announced a significant expansion in Canada with a new multi-year lease in the heart of Toronto. The company has secured over 24,000 square feet of premium office space at 134 Peter Street, situated in the city’s bustling Downtown West neighbourhood.

The new Toronto hub will complement OpenTable’s existing operations in Montreal. While the Montreal office remains a vital part of the company’s Canadian presence, the Toronto location is set to become a primary centre for global engineering and product development.

A significant portion of the local team will focus on backend infrastructure and innovation to support OpenTable’s worldwide offerings, which currently help more than 65,000 restaurants fill nearly 2 billion seats annually.

The decision to expand into Toronto was largely driven by the city’s reputation as a global technology leader. John Longstreet, Chief Financial Officer at OpenTable, noted that the new space allows the company to tap into a world-class pool of tech talent.

Beyond the technical teams, the 134 Peter Street office will house several other key departments, including:

  • Sales and Marketing: To support local and national restaurant growth.
  • Finance and Customer Service: Ensuring seamless operations for Canadian partners.
  • Product Management: Bridging the gap between engineering and the user experience.

The building itself, known as Queen Richmond Centre West (QRC West), is a “jewel” of the Allied properties portfolio. It is famous for its “brick-and-beam” architecture, featuring a massive 70-foot high atrium and a LEED Platinum certification for sustainability.

The expansion also follows OpenTable’s recent acquisition of the Quebec-based reservation platform Libro in April 2026. By growing its physical footprint and its digital network simultaneously, OpenTable is positioning itself as the primary partner for Canadian restaurateurs looking to increase visibility and streamline their operations.
