Walmart+ Now Live in Canada With Free Crave and No Shipping Minimums
Walmart Canada has officially rolled out its Walmart+ subscription on Thursday as expected, and it’s the first time the retailer has offered this kind of bundle anywhere outside the United States.
The membership runs $8.97 per month or $89 per year. For that, you get unlimited free same-day delivery from local stores on orders over $35, plus cheaper rates on two-hour express delivery windows. It’s essentially a play to get after Amazon Prime subscribers.
There’s also free shipping with no order minimum on thousands of items from Walmart.ca or the app, with next-day delivery on everyday products. So you don’t have to fill your cart just to clear a spending threshold. Walmart+ includes Crave Standard with Ads at no extra cost. In the US, Walmart+ gets a choice of Paramount+ or Peacock Premium.
“Walmart+ is a game-changer for Canadians, especially the busy families who rely on our everyday low prices,” said Catherine Theberge-Conner, Head of Membership at Walmart Canada. “With Walmart+, Canadians can access a unique membership offering that combines unlimited grocery and general merchandise delivery with benefits beyond retail.”
Walmart+ replaces the old Delivery Pass program entirely. If you were already a Delivery Pass member, you’ve been moved over to Walmart+ automatically at no extra charge. New customers can try it with a 30-day free trial on Walmart’s website.
