Rockstar Games is finally ready to kick off the countdown for the most anticipated video game in history. Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders will officially go live later this month, giving Canadian gamers their first chance to secure a copy of the open-world title ahead of its release.
The announcement confirms that pre-orders are scheduled to open on Thursday, June 25, 2026, five months ahead of its fall release date. The launch will likely happen simultaneously across major Canadian retailers, including the likes of Best Buy, GameStop, and Amazon Canada, alongside digital storefronts for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar revealed its cover art for GTA 6 today as well.
There’s no word yet on Canadian pricing for GTA 6, but a standard edition might sit into the $89.99 CAD pricepoint and move up higher for premium deluxe and collector’s editions, ahead of the official release date of November 19, 2026.
The timing isn’t an accident either. Pre-orders opening in mid-June puts Rockstar right in the middle of the industry’s big summer showcase season, when gamers everywhere are already paying attention. With the launch still months away, getting pre-orders up now also gives manufacturers enough lead time to print all those physical discs and steelbooks before what’s shaping up to be massive demand across North America.
