Best Prepaid Phone Plans in Canada for July 2026. Public Mobile, Chatr, Lucky and More
We’re well into July so let’s take a look at prepaid plans from the Big 3, compared to prices in June. Public Mobile (Telus), Lucky Mobile (Bell), Chatr (Rogers) and Fizz (Quebecor) have all made changes to their prepaid plans.
Here are the changes to prepaid plans in Canada for July 2026:
Public Mobile
- $35/50GB (was 40GB) 5G Canada (previously had US-Mexico + 1,000 international minutes)
- $40/70GB (was 100GB) 5G Canada-US-Mexico + 1,000 international minutes
- $45/100GB (was 150GB) 5G Canada-US-Mexico + 1,000 international minutes
- $50/150GB (was 200GB) 5G Canada-US-Mexico + 1,000 international minutes

- $24/5GB (new)
- $26/10GB (was $25/25GB) 4G

The $35 plan gains 10GB of data, but loses US and Mexico roaming plus international minutes. The other 5G plans have lost 30GB and 50GB respectively. The 4G plans have also been revamped.

As for Lucky Mobile, we’re seeing data slashed across the board from its plans $25 per month and higher.

- $21/1GB
- $25/5GB (was 25GB)
- $29/35GB

As for Rogers-owned Chatr, the only change in July compared to June is the reduction of data on the $25 plan.
Fizz
- $18 (was $24) talk and text
- $20/1GB (was $24/2GB) 4G
- $24/5GB (was $25/25GB) 4G
- $26/10GB (was $29/35GB) 4G
- $28/35GB (new) 4G
- $30/50GB (new) 5G
- $34/80GB 5G
- $35/100GB 5G
- $45/150GB (was $40/125GB) 5G
- $50/200GB 5G (new)
Quebecor’s Fizz Mobile looks to have shaken plans up the most in July. Prices have actually dropped for 4G plans, while there are now some more 5G options with a 200GB plan now available.
Honourable mentions? No Name Mobile which runs on the Bell LTE network, only seeing a reduction of data on the $25 plan:
- $19/2GB
- $25/6GB (was 30GB)
- $29/40GB
- $34/85GB
Again, plans didn’t get upgrades for the summer, as once back to school season comes next month and Black Friday comes in the fall, that’s when we’ll see some better deals.
