Public Mobile Matches Freedom Mobile’s $45 Plan, But Key Catch Remains

Last Thursday we told you how Public Mobile had revamped its 5G plans ahead of the back to school season. The following day, Public Mobile tweaked its $45 plan to match Freedom Mobile’s 125GB back to school offering.

Here are Public Mobile’s 4G plans, which remain unchanged:

Instead of 100GB, the $45 plan bumped it up to 125GB to match Freedom Mobile. But the main difference? Public Mobile doesn’t offer international roaming and Freedom’s $45 plan includes 5GB of global talk, text and data. While the price and data matches on paper, international travellers will miss out on roaming with Public Mobile.

Still, compared to Public Mobile’s initial back to school plans last year, things are better than before.
