Bob Ross Gallery Collection Arrives on LG Gallery+

LG has added the Bob Ross Gallery Collection to its LG Gallery+ platform. The iconic artist’s work can now be viewed on LG’s displays.

Subscribers of the LG Gallery+ platform can now display and showcase Ross’ works of art on their LG Art TVs. Much like the other artists supported on LG Gallery+, Ross’ art can help set a tone or mood for the moment.

LG’s Gallery+ subscription is available for $5.00/month and offers over 5,000 works of art from artists and galleries. A free subscription is also available, offering a smaller selection of 100 images, basic clock interfaces and music pairing.

“Through the years, we’ve heard so many times how folks want to enjoy Bob’s paintings in their homes, and not just with posters, prints or pages in a book. This new Gallery finally fulfills the desire to experience his incredible masterpieces – those strong mountains, supple clouds, velvety grass and mirror-like water – in the most fluid, ethereal way possible. It’s another way to naturally enjoy television’s favorite painter and the legacy he left us,” said Joan Kowalski, President of Bob Ross Inc., in a press release.

In addition to folding the Bob Ross Gallery Collection into LG Gallery+, the company also announces that The Bob Ross Channel is available on LG Channels in Canada, the US and New Zealand. For those who want to take a walk down memory lane and watch a nonstop feed of The Joy of Painting, they can tune in. The Bob Ross Channel offers nearly 400 episodes of the iconic series, provided in partnership with Cineverse and Bob Ross Inc.

For many, Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting were an institution. With a long-running series of instructional and inspiring episodes, Ross walked viewers through the means of creating wonderful paintings. The Joy of Painting ran from 1983 to 1994. Ross sadly passed away in 1995. In 2024, the series was resurrected as The Joy of Painting with Nicholas Hankins: Bob Ross’s Unfinished Season. Nicholas Hankins, a Ross-certified instructor, continues to host and paint for audiences.
