ECOVACS DEEBOT X12S Robot Vacuum Launches in Canada

ECOVACS has now launched the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone in Canada, with the new robot vacuum arriving on September 15 at a price of $1,599.99 CAD.

The X12S was first unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin as the follow-up to the DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone, which launched in Canada back in April.

The new model is available through Amazon.ca and ECOVACS, while U.S. pricing comes in at $1,299.99 US.

The X12S is built around a sealed carpet chamber that pushes down into the pile rather than skating over the top. ECOVACS says SGS-certified testing found it removed an average of 97.44% of dust mite allergens from carpet.

“Most robots skim the top of a carpet. We built the X12S to get down to where the dust actually sits,” said Michelle Jones, associate brand marketing director at ECOVACS Americas.

A hardware Privacy Shield physically covers the AIVI camera when you want the lens blocked, making the shutter visible instead of relying on a software toggle.

Suction is rated at 53 air watts, which ECOVACS says is 60% more than the X12. The OZMO Roller 3.0 continuously rinses itself with fresh water while mopping, while FocusJet stain spray is designed to tackle dried-on messes.

PowerBoost Charging Plus tops up the battery during short mop-wash dock cycles, which is meant to reduce downtime in larger homes.

The bagless PureCyclone station also removes the need for disposable dust bags, following the same hands-off approach ECOVACS pushed with the T90 Pro Omni earlier this year.

“Carpets have always been the hardest surface to clean well, because the mess you’re actually dealing with is buried in the pile, not sitting on top of it. We’ve also built in a privacy shield, because a robot that maps your home shouldn’t come at the cost of your comfort with it,” said Sabrina Chen, Integrated Marketing Manager (Canada) at ECOVACS Robotics, in a statement to iPhone in Canada.

The ECOVACS DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone is available in Canada now for $1,599.99 CAD.
