ECOVACS DEEBOT X12S Is Coming to Canada With a Hardware Camera Cover
ECOVACS just unveiled the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone at IFA 2026 in Berlin, a follow-up to the DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone that started selling in Canada in April, and the U.S. launch is the same day at $1,299.99 US (about $1,899 CAD) on Amazon and ecovacs.com.
Canadian timing is still TBA after ECOVACS postponed the local launch over shipping delays, and CAD pricing has not been confirmed yet either. We will have full Canadian launch details soon, so stay tuned. From September 9 through September 13, an Amazon coupon drops the U.S. price to $1,099.99 US.
The X12S is built around a sealed carpet chamber that pushes down into the pile rather than skating over the top, and SGS-certified testing says it removed an average of 97.44 percent of dust mite allergens from carpet. “Most robots skim the top of a carpet. We built the X12S to get down to where the dust actually sits,” said Michelle Jones, associate brand marketing director at ECOVACS Americas.
A hardware Privacy Shield physically covers the AIVI camera when you want the lens blocked, so the shutter is something you can see rather than a software toggle buried in a menu. Suction is rated at 53 air watts, 60 percent more than the X12, and the OZMO Roller 3.0 keeps rinsing itself with fresh water while it mops, with FocusJet stain spray for dried-on kitchen messes that usually just get smeared around instead of cleaned.
PowerBoost Charging Plus tops the battery up during short mop-wash dock cycles so larger homes are not stuck waiting on a long recharge, and the bagless PureCyclone station is meant to keep owners out of the dust-bag aisle for weeks at a time, the same hands-off pitch ECOVACS made when the T90 Pro Omni landed earlier this year.
