How to Watch Apple’s iPhone 18 Event Today in Canada

Apple is holding its big September special event today, where the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, its first foldable iPhone and other new product refreshes.

The event starts today, September 9, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET. Apple has confirmed the presentation will be streamed online through its website on Apple.ca, the Apple TV app and on YouTube live.

For Canadians, that means the Apple event starts at the following times:

10 a.m. PDT in Vancouver
11 a.m. MDT in Calgary
12 p.m. CDT in Winnipeg
1 p.m. EDT in Toronto
2 p.m. ADT in Halifax
2:30 p.m. NDT in St. John’s

You can watch directly from Apple’s Events website on an iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC or other supported browser. The event will also be available through the Apple TV app on supported devices.

Apple is using the tagline “Surprise and shine” for this year’s event. Read into the image all you want on what clues it may hold.

The biggest expected announcement is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, a book-style model reportedly known internally as the iPhone Ultra (will it be called Duo? or just called Fold?), with a large inner display, smaller cover screen, A20 Pro chip, Apple’s C2 modem, Touch ID and split-view multitasking. Rumours still point to a price above $2,000 US, which could put it north of $3,000 CAD before tax, which when you think about it is crazy for an iPhone (or any smartphone).

Apple is also expected to refresh the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with new colours, better battery life, vapor chamber cooling and camera upgrades, while the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 could add new materials and more health features. AirPods 5 are expected in regular and ANC versions, while a new Apple TV could arrive with a faster chip designed for Apple’s next-generation Siri features.

As for the entry iPhone 18, that’s going to skip today apparently and show up in the spring.
