Rogers Xfinity TV Is Adding 150+ NHL Games at No Extra Cost

Rogers is adding more NHL games to its Xfinity TV packages, giving customers access to Sportsnet+ exclusive content at no additional cost.

Starting September 29 (the day the NHL season kicks off), Rogers Xfinity TV customers with Sportsnet in their package will get three new digital channels carrying content that was previously exclusive to Sportsnet+.

The addition includes more than 150 NHL games, including Monday Night Hockey and over 100 other matchups throughout the season.

“Rogers Xfinity brings sports fans more NHL games than ever before and the best seat in the house,” said Bret Leech, President, Residential. “By adding content exclusive to Sportsnet+ into our TV packages, we’re bringing more value to Rogers Xfinity customers and making it easier for them to seamlessly catch all the action with our world-class platform.”

Customers do not need to make any changes to their TV package. The new channels will be added automatically for eligible subscribers and can be found using the Rogers Xfinity voice remote.

Rogers says the Sportsnet+ add-on content normally costs $12.99 per month. Obviously the move is to get you hooked on hockey and stay an Xfinity TV customer.

The move gives Rogers Xfinity TV customers with Sportsnet access to more NHL games without requiring a separate Sportsnet+ subscription. Back in July, Rogers announced price increases across the board for Sportsnet+.
