Fido, Virgin and Koodo September 2026 Plans: Is Anything Actually Changing?

We’re into the first week of September so let’s take a look at what the plans are from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo compared to our August roundup. With Apple’s hardware week just wrapping up, there still aren’t many changes on these flanker brands as expected, and that tracks with what we just saw on the Rogers, Telus, Bell and Freedom September plans roundup too.
Here are plans from Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo in September 2026 below, for bring your own device customers and after autopay discounts. Prices can still shift by province, so treat the Ontario / national-style numbers as the headline frame unless you’re shopping in Quebec.
Fido
- $45/20GB
- $50/60GB
- $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico (roaming for 12 months)
No changes to Fido’s plans as of today, compared to August. The $5 Auto-Pay discount is still how you land those prices.
Virgin Plus
- $45/20GB
- $50/60GB
- $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico
Virgin has also kept its Ontario-facing autopay BYOD prices the same for September compared to August. Quebec shows lower regional prices ($40/20GB, $45/60GB, $50/60GB Canada-US-Mexico), which is worth knowing if you’re shopping there.
Koodo
- $40/10GB – Student deal
- $45/20GB
- $50/60GB
- $55/60GB Canada-US-Mexico
- $60/100GB
Looking at Koodo, it hasn’t made any major changes either, and the $40/10GB student deal is still around (still not great when compared to other carriers). The $60/100GB bucket is still the outlier if you want more data without jumping up to a premium parent-brand plan.
If you’re hunting prepaid instead, our last look at Public Mobile, Lucky, Chatr and Fizz is the other side of this market, and we’ll refresh that separately. Why the lack of changes here? People aren’t exactly lining up for a new flanker plan the week after a big Apple event. The better deals will likely show up again during Black Friday and into the holidays and Boxing Day, when Rogers, Telus and Bell tend to push their flankers harder too.
