Reviews are now out for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, just a couple of days before both phones arrive in stores on Friday, September 18.
After last year’s bigger iPhone 17 Pro redesign, this year’s Pro models are more of an iterative update. The biggest changes are the new 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture and Pro Controls, better battery life, especially on the Pro Max, and Apple’s new A20 Pro chip.
For anyone already using an iPhone 17 Pro, the early consensus is that there probably isn’t much reason to upgrade this year.
Apple.ca is still taking pre-orders for both models, with availability starting September 18. Canadian pricing starts at $1,749 for the iPhone 18 Pro with 256GB of storage, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,899.
