Public Mobile’s Back-to-School 5G Plans Just Got an End Date

Public Mobile’s back-to-school phone plan deals are ending this week, giving customers only a few more days to sign up before the offers disappear, according to checks by iPhone in Canada.

The Telus-owned prepaid carrier has added an end date of October 5 to its back-to-school Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans on Thursday afternoon. A banner at the top of the company’s plans page reads, “Deals on 5G Canada-US-Mexico phone plans are here, but only until October 5*. Get them while they last.”

Public Mobile is currently offering four Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans as part of the promotion:

• $35/25GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
• $40/75GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
• $45/125GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico
• $50/175GB + 1000 Int’l minutes with US/Mexico

All four plans include unlimited talk and text within Canada, the US and Mexico, 5G speeds up to 250 Mbps, 1,000 international long-distance minutes and 2% back in Public Points. The plans are available to new activations only, with a limited-time $0 eSIM or a $15 CAD physical SIM.

Public Mobile rotates promotional plans throughout the year, and these back-to-school offers will be gone after October 5. Based on what we’ve seen before, prices might rise and data amounts will fall, only to magically come back during Black Friday, possibly.
