Videotron is extending its wireless service to dozens of communities across four Québec regions, giving more than 25,000 people a new option when choosing a mobile carrier.

The expansion, announced Thursday, covers Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Nord-du-Québec, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Bas-Saint-Laurent. Newly added communities include La Sarre, Macamic and Palmarolle in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Lebel-sur-Quévillon in Nord-du-Québec, Lac-Bouchette, Petit-Saguenay and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, and Saint-Cyprien, Lejeune and Biencourt in Bas-Saint-Laurent.

“This regional rollout is a concrete demonstration of our commitment to keep investing in Québec and to foster competition for the benefit of Quebecers,” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor, in a statement. “Thanks to Videotron, thousands of people will now have more choice to meet their wireless needs, along with customer service repeatedly recognized as an industry benchmark.”

Videotron counts 4,484,000 mobile subscriber connections as of June 30, 2026, making it Canada’s fourth largest wireless provider. Residents of the newly served areas will also be able to sign up for Fizz, the carrier’s 100% digital sister brand, according to the announcement.

The carrier has been on a steady expansion push. In 2024 it brought wireless service to the Gaspésie and Côte-Nord regions, and late last year it switched on Helix internet for 20,000 more homes in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Its Fizz brand has also been expanding beta coverage across the country.

For shoppers in the newly covered areas, the practical step is to check availability on the company’s website or visit a nearby retail location, since wireless signups require an address inside the service area. Business customers can look at custom plans through Videotron Business.

Videotron says a detailed coverage map is available on its website, and the rollout is live as of Thursday, so residents in the new communities can sign up immediately.
