Videotron Just Switched On Helix Internet for 20,000 More Quebec Homes
Videotron has rolled out its Helix Internet and TV platform to several new municipalities in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, giving more than 20,000 additional homes access to its fibre-powered network.
Residents in Roberval, Alma, Saint-Bruno, Hébertville, Hébertville-Station, Chambord and Saint-Nazaire can now subscribe to the company’s high-speed Internet and TV services. The expansion adds to Videotron’s existing wireless coverage in the area, giving customers Internet, mobile and TV under one provider.
“Videotron is very pleased to welcome residents from several municipalities in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean to the Helix family,” said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Quebecor, in a statement to iPhone in Canada on Wednesday. “This expansion of our Internet and television services furthers our mission of fostering healthy, vigorous competition that directly benefits consumers.”
Videotron says its Helix platform offers reliable, high-speed Internet with options for TV bundles and smart home integration. The system includes voice-command remotes and home network management tools.
The company has been expanding Helix across Quebec this year, including recent launches in Trois-Rivières, Rimouski, Magog, and Saint-Hyacinthe.
