Rogers Raises Online Device Shipping Fee Back to $25

Rogers has raised its online device shipping fee back to $25 CAD as of October 5, 2026, ending the limited-time $9 CAD rate and making home delivery noticeably pricier just as the fall phone season kicks off. With Apple’s iPhone Duo pre-orders set to begin October 16 in Canada, plenty of shoppers about to order a new device online will run into the higher charge at checkout.
The carrier’s website now tells customers that “A $25 shipping fee applies with standard delivery.” The fee applies to eligible devices ordered online for delivery, while in-store pickup remains free for those who choose it.
The return to the higher fee was telegraphed weeks ago. On September 21, Rogers displayed a banner in its device cart stating, “For a limited time, a $9 shipping charge applies or pick up in-store for free on eligible devices. $25 shipping charge will apply as of October 5.” iPhone in Canada reported on the temporary $9 CAD rate on September 22, flagging that the regular $25 CAD charge was scheduled to return today.
The shipping fee is not the only extra charge to keep in mind. Rogers’ $40 CAD setup fee remains unchanged, and those device fees are the same ones Rogers, Telus and Bell have been defending in recent CRTC submissions as the regulator examines telecom junk fees.
Shipping fees have moved before this year. In July, Rogers and Fido lowered some shipping fees following scrutiny from the CRTC, and Quebecor has since told the regulator it has already scrapped fees that Bell, Rogers and Telus continue to charge.
For readers, the math is straightforward. Ordering online for home delivery now adds $25 CAD to the bill instead of the $9 CAD promo rate, while choosing in-store pickup keeps the fee off entirely. Anyone ordering a new device this month should check whether free pickup is available at a nearby store before paying for delivery.
What to watch next is whether the CRTC’s junk-fee review leads to clearer disclosure of these charges at checkout, and whether the $25 CAD fee softens again once the fall launch rush is over. Rogers could easily bring back a promo rate the next time it wants to steer customers toward online orders, so the shipping charge is worth double-checking before your next upgrade.
