Blink Unveils 5 New Cameras: Here’s What Canada Gets Next Week

Blink has announced five new security cameras, and two of them are already up for pre-order in Canada. The Blink Mini 4K+ costs $109.99 CAD, while the Blink Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ starts at $74.99 CAD. Both cameras launch on October 27.
The other three models, the Blink Frontier XR+, Blink Outdoor 2K XR+ and Blink Spotlight Cam 2K+, are also coming to Canada, but not until early 2027, an Amazon Canada spokesperson confirmed to iPhone in Canada. Amazon says Canadians can sign up to get an email when they become available to buy.
Blink is Amazon’s lower-priced camera brand, sitting below Ring, and this launch comes two weeks after Ring launched five new security cameras in Canada, including 4K models.
Blink Mini 4K+
The Mini 4K+ is Blink’s first 4K security camera and its sharpest one yet. It is a wired camera built for indoor or outdoor use, with an IP65 rating, a 115-degree horizontal field of view, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and two-way audio. Smart Alerts with person and vehicle detection are included, but they need a compatible Blink subscription plan.
Canada is also one of the countries getting Video Descriptions on the Mini 4K+, alongside the US and UK. The feature uses AI to write a short summary of what happened in a clip, so you do not have to watch every motion alert to find out it was the neighbour’s cat again. It requires an eligible Blink AI plan.

Blink Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+
The Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+ is Blink’s first pan-tilt camera rated for both indoor and outdoor use. It records in 2K and can pan 350 degrees and tilt 115 degrees, so a single camera can follow someone walking from the driveway to the side of the house. Person and vehicle motion detection (with a compatible subscription), night vision and two-way audio are also part of the package. If you want to mount it outside, you will need the Blink Camera Outdoor Adapter, which is sold separately.
In the US, Blink is charging $79.99 USD for the Mini 4K+ and $49.99 USD for the Mini Pan-Tilt 2K+. Run those through today’s exchange rate and the Mini 4K+ actually comes in a couple of dollars under a straight conversion, while the Pan-Tilt costs about five dollars more. We will call that a draw, which is about as good as Canadian tech pricing gets.

Three more cameras coming in early 2027
The Blink Frontier XR+ is the long-range model of the bunch. Blink describes it as a trail camera for large properties and remote spots, and it needs the Sync Module XR+ hub to reach up to 7,000 feet (about 2.1 kilometres) from an outdoor-mounted hub with a clear line of sight. Amazon suggests it for spots like gates, pastures, outbuildings and job sites. In the US, it sells for $199.99 USD as a one-camera system with the Sync Module XR+.

The Blink Outdoor 2K XR+ pairs 2K video with the same extended-range connection. It has a 115-degree field of view and can sit up to 800 feet (about 245 metres) from the Sync Module XR+ with some trees or buildings in the way, or up to 2,700 feet (about 820 metres) with a clear line of sight. Resolution drops to as low as 1080p at maximum range. Its US price is $149.99 USD for a one-camera system with the Sync Module XR+.
The Blink Spotlight Cam 2K+ is Blink’s first battery-powered spotlight camera. It combines 2K video with a built-in spotlight that switches on when it detects motion, and since it is completely wire-free, you can put it above a garage or along a side yard without running power. It sells for $109.99 USD in the US.
Canadian pricing for these three has not been announced yet. If you already own Blink’s XR+ gear, we saw the Blink XR+ two-camera bundle drop to $98 in Canada in September, and Amazon’s own devices tend to show up in sales like the Amazon device sale with 16 deals up to 67% off fairly often. Apple is also moving into this space, with its first smart lock, doorbell and thermostats coming to Canada in December.
Would you go with the Mini 4K+ or the Pan-Tilt, or are you holding out for the Spotlight Cam next year?
