Fido Customers Should Check Bills After Another Price Hike

Some Fido customers are seeing a second plan price increase within a few months, and October bills are where the higher total shows up. If you are still on an older Fido plan, check the monthly plan charge before the next pre-authorized payment clears.
One long-time customer shared that their monthly plan went up by almost $6 CAD about three months ago, then jumped again by more than $11 CAD on the latest bill. They say it is the same unlimited Canada and U.S. data, text and talk plan they have had for over a year, without free roaming, and that the bill is now about 38 per cent higher than four months ago.
After nearly 30 years with Fido, they plan to move to Fizz at $37 CAD a month plus tax for a similar Canada and U.S. plan with no roaming fees. Other commenters said they saw a second increase too, and some are waiting for Black Friday before they switch.
The customer also posted a screenshot of their Fido bill history, which shows these monthly totals, including tax.
- April 24 to June 24, 2026: $42.38 CAD
- July 24 to September 24, 2026: $48.03 CAD (up $5.65 CAD)
- October 24, 2026: $59.33 CAD (up another $11.30 CAD)
That works out to a $16.95 CAD increase since June, or about 40 per cent. The October bill includes $6.83 CAD in HST, with a pre-authorized charge set for on or after November 7, 2026.

Fido’s October plan list did not show another public price change on those advertised tiers. Fido has not publicly explained this latest round of higher totals on some existing accounts.
Check your Fido bill
Open the Fido app or My Account and pull up Select Bill, or your recent bill history. Compare the monthly plan charge, not only the grand total, across the last few months. Look for a price-change notice on a prior bill, and for any related text or email from Fido. Customers who want options can call Fido to ask about their plan, a retention offer, or the cost of switching plans.
Black Friday wireless deals are only a few weeks away, and some shoppers are holding off until then. Fizz, Videotron’s flanker brand, is already promoting early Black Friday extras for members.
Did your latest Fido bill go up again, and will you stay, call for an offer, or wait for Black Friday?
