Apple Features ‘Unapologetically Canadian’ App Section, Lists Top 150 Downloads of All Time

Apple has added a new section to the App Store called ‘Unapologetically Canadian’, which celebrates Canadian companies and apps to download ahead of our country’s 150th birthday on July 1, 2017.

The section description reads:

“Canadians may be famous for saying we’re sorry, but when it comes to building great apps, there’s no need to apologize. Canada is home to some of the world’s greatest talent, and we’re thrilled to celebrate these inspiring creators as part of Canada’s 150th birthday. Don’t miss our list of Canadians’ top 150 most downloaded apps and games of all time!”

  • Grade “eh” games
  • Get create Canada!
  • Spend your loonies and toonies!
  • What to watch
  • Fun for kids
  • Top 150 Canadian downloads of all time

The top Canadian downloads of all time? The top five are: Candy Crush Saga; Facebook; YouTube; Messenger; and Clash of Clans.
