Finding a new vehicle for or selling your old one is a pain, but autoTrader’s intuitive design, and enormous amount of listings should help make these tasks easier.
Intuitive selection tools for searching
Well organized ads
The Search tab is very well designed. You will be refining your searches using intuitive and familiar selection tools, like spinning-wheels, to make most of your selections. When your search is complete you can sort by price, distance from you, mileage, year, or age of the ad. You can also view the ads on a map, and save your searches.
Placing an ad now requires you to make an account with autoTrader. However, once you have an account making the ad is just as easy as and a similar procedure to searching for one.
I definitely had a better experience using the app than the website. Why? Because I found that the app is much more intuitive and faster. In the app, I have more search options available in the Basic Search, and if I want to use the Advanced Search options I tap a button, and they appear. I didn’t have to wait for a new page to load or after I had started searching to see more options. Also, the ads I looked at had all the information I could view on the website, but organized into tabs, which was great because without the tabs I’d be scrolling to much.
