BMO Mobile Banking for iOS Redesigned, Adds 3D Touch, iPhone X Support
BMO customers have a new Mobile Banking app for iOS, as the latter has reached version 5.0, bringing a “new, personalized experience”, says the bank.
The app gets a simplified layout with easier navigation, while account previews can now be quickly previewed on devices which support 3D Touch.

Actions to transfer money, pay bills and more have been streamlined, while BMO Credit Card customers can now view and redeem their rewards within the app.
The update also brings access to eStatements, no matter where you are located, plus the app can now set up Apple Pay for all your BMO cards. Also included in this update is screen support for iPhone X users.
As for mobile cheque deposits, they have not arrived yet on the BMO Mobile Banking app yet. #2018goals

Still no mobile deposit

No iMessage integration.
No Siri integration.
Bare, bare minimum transaction information.
Crickets, crickets, crickets…

And they broke Touch ID. Great.
by far the worst banking app. i wrote a big review on the app store for them and listed the changes they should have. my touch id did not work when i updated and i had to re-add my card. the app seems sluggish to me. changes are nice but it feels like i have to click more to see more information which is annoying. WHY DOES BMO HAVE TO BE SO BEHIND 🙁
Agreed. It’s the Worst banking app ever. BMO doesn’t deserve any positive publicity and don’t update unless the app stops working.
App broken now. Had to attempt to re-add card and password. System offers to activate touch id or not “maybe later” (but maybe later doesnt work) so three attempts at touch id reactivate (did work at one time in past but not in awhile) but app,crashes once “i agree” selected. Why!?
The good: design and simplicity. The bad: lack of features, slow performance, and bugs. They should’ve waited longer before releasing it. Also, the lack of mobile cheque deposit is very troubling. The other major banks have supported it for awhile now. Even Tangerine supports it. C’mon, BMO.
