Gmail for iOS Updated with Snooze Button for Emails
Google’s Gmail for iOS has been updated to include a feature from their recent redesign on the web and their Inbox by Google app: a snooze button.
The Snooze button appears when you open an email and tap the three dots menu in the top right. You’ll then see ‘Snooze’ as the first menu option:

Snooze options are: Later today; Tomorrow; Later this week; This weekend; Next week; Someday; and the ability to “Pick date & time”. Once you decide on a snooze option, you also have the ability to “undo” it as well if you made a mistake:

While a snooze feature for emails is not exactly new, it’s been a long time coming for the Gmail iOS app.

What’s interesting is that this was actually there a couple of days ago — before the app update rolled out. When I saw the app update, I thought Google might actually be bringing it to a snooze button, but sadly it looks like the release notes are just advertising a feature that was already there and simply had to be switched on from the back end.
It’s actually pretty awkward to have the option buried in a menu; ironically it’s an easily-accessible button on the desktop, yet it’s on mobile where I think many folks would want to snooze emails most often.
Also in the update you can send or request money from friends if you in the US, hopefully this feature can come to Canada.
