Google Assistant is the search engine’s AI-based app which can help you via chat or voice commands. It launched for iPhone users in the U.S. four months ago, but is now available for download in Canada, without a U.S. iTunes account workaround.

Assistant will be able to launch existing Google apps on your iPhone, allowing its voice queries to be come pretty powerful if you’re tied into the search engine’s iOS ecosystem.
In our short tests with Google Assistant for iOS, it has worked well, being able to interpret our voice commands with higher accuracy than Siri at times. The Assistant can launch Gmail to compose a new email for you, which is neat.
