HonkMobile Launches Mobile Payments for Parking at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

Travelers flying out of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport can now pay for parking from their mobile device, as HonkMobile now supports mobile payments for the parking lot.

With HonkMobile for iOS, users can reserve a parking spot in advance and save 20% off airport rates. Once a parking spot is booked, a barcode will be sent via email and within the app for users to enter and exit the parking lot.

Honk Founder & CEO Michael Back said in a statement, “Honk is revolutionizing the airport parking experience by allowing travellers to reserve and pay for affordable parking in advance from the convenience of their smartphone. We know travelling can be stressful and we’re offering our users peace of mind when it comes to parking for their trip.”

Last month, the HonkMobile iOS app launched support for Apple Pay in-app payments. Earlier this month, HonkMobile launched in Waterloo, making the latter the first city to go mobile-only when it comes to purchasing parking and enforcement.

Toronto-based HonkMobile says their mobile parking platform is supported at over 800 locations and 150,000 parking spaces across Canada and the USA.
