Canada’s iconic department store, Hudson’s Bay, has launched a new iPhone and iPad app, allowing for easy online shopping and features for in-store shoppers.
The new bilingual app, officially announced today, “is reimagining its digital experience,” explains the retailer.
Here are key features of the new Hudson’s Bay app:
- Curated homepage featuring latest brands and new arrivals
- Scan product barcodes to search for additional styles and sizes and detailed product descriptions
- Purchase while in store and get fast, free delivery to home
- Track order shipments
- Save favourites
“At Hudson’s Bay, the customer is at the heart of everything we do and their input drove many of the developments of our new app,” said Adam Powell, VP eCommerce, Hudson’s Bay, in a statement.
“With mobile now exceeding desktop shoppers on thebay.com, the new app is fast, effective, and adds value, ultimately evolving our digital experience. In developing, we honed in on what would help make the Hudson’s Bay shopping experience easier and more engaging, from start to finish, both online and in stores,” added Powell.
The app will offer search preferences by sale, brand and product name, while users will be able to easily share product links with friends and family.
In-store features include a UPC scanner to get more details on a product, which can then be purchased instantly and shipped to your home address.
New push notifications will bring alerts for “our biggest deals”, while Hudson’s Bay says “Your personal account information is securely stored to ensure you check out safely.”
