Instagram Announces New Colour and Fade Tools, Coming Soon to iOS

Today Instagram has announced two new creative tools: Colour and Fade. These make their way into the app’s Adjust tool and the new options launch on Android first (interesting) and will make their way to iOS “in a few days.”

Colour lets you tint highlights or shadows in photos, with options to choose from yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan or green. The new Fade tool will let you soften colours for what the company describes will achieve “a quiet tone to your photos.”

Back in December, Instagram launched five new filters and the ability to customize your filter tray.
