There's a popular expression, "third time's a charm." When it comes to the iPhone, I would say the features on the latest 3GS include many that we have been longing for since the original iPhone days (EG copy and paste, MMS, video recording). When it comes to iPhone battery life, the 3GS performs better than...

I would really love to get the data rate on my new iPhone 3GS to hit 7.2 mbit/s, like Rogers advertises. Unfortunately, the reality is that we’ll never be able to hit that speed as the network can’t handle it. On my iPhone 3G I remember getting download speeds of about 4800 kbits/s. With the...

We got all excited when redsn0w was released to jailbreak the iPhone and iPhone 3G on firmware 3.0. Plus, with ultrasn0w to unlock 3G, that was even better. When news broke that the iPhone 3GS jailbreak was imminent, users around the world cheered. The iPhone Dev Team can jailbreak the iPhone 3GS. However, they are...

If you were like the 1 million+ (in 3 days!) who purchased the new iPhone 3GS, one of the biggest and noticeable upgrades you enjoyed was the increased processing speed and battery life. However, if you were like myself and millions of other 3GS users who just couldn't justify the HUP (darn Rogers and their...

Early in the morning the iPhone Dev Team updated their blog with some good news! Read below for what they had to say: 24Kpwn lives on, in the iPhone 3GS! About 5 hours ago (Thursday evening, less than a week after the 3GS launch), we were able to verify that the 24Kpwn exploit that the...

For two straight days now, you've seen my posts regarding the sheer, raw power of the iPhone 3GS. Boot up times are faster along with overall system speed, network, and 3D performance. Today I'm going to review the iPhone 3GS camera and its video capabilities, something that I feel should be talked about more. The...

Looks like some more Telus iPhone rumors are coming our way! Reported previously is that Telus will have their HSPA network up and running this October. When that happens, also expect Telus to drop the gauntlet on Rogers by selling the iPhone as well. A source of previous insider news, user RileyFreeman on Howard Forums...

When I first purchased my iPhone 3G back in August 2008 I became obsessed with finding the best case possible. I'm a fan of the swivel clip, but I hate bulky cases, and cases that are made from cheap plastics, like a lot of the cases that are currently on the market. In October, I...

The iPhone 3GS has some extra horsepower under the hood compared to the iPhone 3G. This was revealed in yesterday's iPhone 3G vs 3GS boot up speed comparison. Another reason why people want the iPhone 3GS is the increased network speed over 3G. Today's video will primarily focus on Rogers 3G network speeds. It will...

As most of you know, I was one of the lucky ones to pick up an iPhone 3GS on the June 19th launch day. The "S" stands for speeds and today I'm going to start showing a few videos of how the iPhone 3GS compares to its little brother, the iPhone 3G. Let's start from...

Last Fall, I switched over to Mac after using PC machines all my life. I guess you can say I caught the Apple bug after I bought the my first gen iPhone in the USA. Anyways, so far life with OSX has been quite pleasant and I've never looked back at ever using Windows XP...

Whether you're using the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, or the latest iPhone 3GS, the recent iPhone OS 3.0 firmware update brings a whole bevy of features to your iPhone. As for figuring out which features are available to what model, that can be challenging to figure out. We know that Apple has stated that certain...
