Bell Launches 6PM Early Evenings Promo For March 2010

On the heels of Rogers launching a 6PM early evenings calling promotion, Bell is now doing the same. Until March 31, 2010, Bell has launched a free 6PM early evening add-on for all new activations and possibly existing customers.

The 6PM early evenings calling bonus is available on the following 3-year term in-market plans:

  • Voice Plans for phones
  • Combo Plans for Smartphones
  • iPhone plans
  • Share Plans
  • EPP plans

The promo is not being advertised in-store and is being used more as a “closing tool”, so be sure to ask your Bell representative for the hookup.

Existing Bell Customers

Since this promotion is more of a closing tool, the free 6PM add-on may not be available to existing customers. However, it is still recommended to call Bell and ask.

Existing customers will likely have to move to an in-market plan (dumping your current plan if it was not released in the last month or so) and renew their plan term for 3 years (does not affect hardware upgrade date). After the plan changes, the 6PM Early Evening Calling promo should be added manually for existing customers.

Edit: It has been confirmed that the 6PM add-on does not work for existing customers.

I just called Bell to add this to my plan and was told quite rudely by the “customer service” rep that it is only available to new activations. Not a great way to treat existing clients, is it? Guess I can't say I'm surprised.

I also tried to add this to my existing plans and was told it is only for new customers, or if I added another line to my plan.
