Bell Let’s Talk 2019 to Surpass 1 Billion Total Messages of Support, $100M in Funding

Bell Let’s Talk Day 2019 is set for January 30 in the New Year and the company expects their mental health awareness cause is set to be the biggest ever.

Bell says they expect to pass “a billion total messages of support for mental health and $100 million in total Bell funding,” on the upcoming day next month.

Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Let’s Talk, said in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada, “It’s been an incredible outpouring of support for those who struggle with mental illness over the last 8 years, and we’re now ready to break a billion total messages. I invite you to add your voice to the conversation on January 30 to get us there – and help drive Bell’s total donations to Canadian mental health programs past $100 million at no cost to you!”

To date, nearly 900,000,000 messages across various platforms were exchanged during the past eight Bell Let’s Talk Days. For every text, mobile and long distance call, and social media interaction, Bell donates 5 cents towards mental health funding. Bell says their total funding is currently over $93 million and 2019’s Bell Let’s Talk Day is expected to reach a new milestone.
