Bell’s Lucky Mobile Launches in Quebec, Atlantic Canada; Wi-Fi Talk/Text App Coming

Bell has expanded its prepaid wireless service, Lucky Mobile, to now reach all 10 provinces in Canada, launching in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador today.

“Lucky Mobile is the top choice for Canadians across the country looking for low-cost, straightforward and predictable wireless service,” said Blaik Kirby, President of Bell Mobility, in a press release. “Everything about Lucky Mobile is designed to enable customers to access exactly the services they need while always remaining in complete control of their budget.”

Lucky Mobile offers talk, text and 3G data plans and is the prepaid service does not require credit checks. All plans include unlimited nationwide calling, voicemail, call display, call waiting and 3-way calling.

According to Lucky Mobile, a new app coming this year will enable customers the ability to use their talk and text over Wi-Fi, outside of their existing monthly plans.

Bell’s prepaid service competes with Rogers’ Chatr Wireless and Telus’ Public Mobile.

Lucky Mobile launched last December in Manitoba BC, Alberta and Ontario, while expanded to Manitoba and Saskatchewan this March.
