The plan offers unlimited Canada-wide minutes, global SMS/MMS, plus the usual extras such as call display, voicemail, etc.

Virgin Mobile reps are also able to add 1,000 free international minutes to select countries, such as Bangladesh, China, Germany, HongKong, India, Italy, Mexico, Taiwan and the UK.

According to RFD, Virgin Mobile will also waive the $40 activation fee and include a free SIM card as well. For those adding a second line, they can get the above but also with a 2GB data bonus (but only one line can get the 1,000 international minutes).

Data overages are still billed at $10/100MB with Virgin Mobile, despite parent company Bell now charging $12/100MB after your first 500MB billed at $10/100MB.

This offer is available for new activations and existing customers and expires at midnight tonight. This plan looks to compete with regional carrier Videoton’s $65/16GB plan, launched earlier this month.
