Fido Xtra is a weekly perk available to Fido wireless and home internet postpaid customers. The latest perk offers up two months of YouTube Premium at no charge.
The perk says once you subscribe, you’ll get your first two months for free.
“While staying at home, you can watch ad-free videos or even have videos playing in the background while you use other apps or when the screen of the device is locked,” explains Fido.
YouTube Premium also allows for downloading of videos to watch offline, while also has access to YouTube Music Premium.
Sometimes, YouTube will offer up one month of Premium for free within the app, but at two months, it’s not a bad perk for those who live within YouTube. Normally, YouTube Premium costs $11.99 CAD per month in Canada.
To jump on the perk, you can find them within the Fido My Account mobile app.
According to Fido, users need to redeem the perk by July 1, 2020 at 11:59pm.
