Some Rogers and Fido wireless are dealing with a service outage, which has been ongoing as far back as last night, according to emails from iPhone in Canada readers and reports on Twitter.
“Some wireless customers are experiencing an intermittent service interruption for wireless voice and data services. Our team is working quickly to restore services as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to provide regular updates,” said Rogers an hour ago.
The outage affects the entire Rogers network, which means Fido, Chatr and Zoomer Wireless as well.

Some = millions nationwide. Just search "Rogers Outage" on Twitter.
Intermittent = voice & data service has been down for most since a bit before 2am EST.
No ETA & a 6 hour delay in a TELECOMMUNICATIONS company communicating something = not good.

Rogers says the problem is Canada-wide and it affects wireless voice and data services.
“In most cases, your services will restore automatically. However, if you’re still having trouble using your services, try rebooting your equipment,” said Rogers online.
Here are some charts according to Downdetector of wireless issues, with most reported locations being in Ontario, specifically Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, London, Montreal, Kitchener, Hamilton, Barrie, and Markham.
