Telus to Invest $280M in the Greater Toronto Area Over 3 Years to Expand 4G LTE

Telus this morning announced it plans to allocate $280 million to invest in the Greater Toronto Area to expand and improve their 4G LTE network over the next three years. The investment is part of the earlier announced $650 million set aside for other network and infrastructure upgrades in Ontario.

“TELUS’ $280 million investment in the GTA over the next three years will enhance and expand the most advanced, fastest wireless technology available in the world today,” said Johnnie-Mike Irving, managing director of Business Solutions, TELUS. “The demand for wireless services is exploding in the Greater Toronto Area and TELUS is committed to making investments in infrastructure and technology to better serve our customers and their communities. We are deeply grateful for the hard work and outstanding commitment of our more than 6,200 local team members and retirees and for the support of our customers.”

I know lots of you in the GTA will be happy to hear about this investment by Telus. Just yesterday the company announced $840 million to expand its 4G LTE network in Quebec.
