Back in November, Public Mobile’s promotional $40/4GB plan with unlimited province-wide calling was #fire, as many jumped ship from Rogers/Fido, Telus/Koodo, and Bell/Virgin to the discount carrier.
The plan, which includes 12GB of data over 90 days (or 4GB per month), works out to $38 per month after setting up credit card auto renew.
Two weeks ago, Public Mobile quietly announced on their forums and extension of the promo until February 3, 2017, only for those who ordered SIM cards between Oct. 25 to Nov. 16, 2016, citing Canada Post delays as the reason for the prolonged offer:
The last day for customers who ordered their SIM cards between October 25 and November 16, 2016 to submit a request to be activated on the $40 / 4GB plan is February 3, 2017. If you or anyone you know of purchased a SIM card during this time period and has still not activated, please be sure to do so before February 3, 2017!
1. Contact one of their moderators (@Shazia_K; @Mary_M; @Saray_O) with your SIM card order confirmation number.2. Activate your SIM card on the 90-day province-wide talk, global text and 6GB plan for $120.3. Contact a moderator to inform them your SIM is active, give them your account number and Public Mobile number. They will then update your plan to change it to 12GB for $120, as stated in the promo.
