Public Mobile Says Select 3G Plans are Disappearing Forever on April 22

Telus prepaid brand Public Mobile says they have some ‘ready-made’ plans set to expire on April 22, 2019, meaning they will no longer be available for purchase for new customers.

The following plans are set to disappear on Monday, April 22, 2019:

  • $25 for 1 GB at 3G speed
  • $40 for 5 GB at 3G speed
  • $45 for 6.5 GB at 3G speed

Public Mobile explains, “If you’re interested in taking advantage of these ready-made plans while they’re still available, learn how you can set up a future-dated plan change on your next renewal date by clicking here. By doing so before April 22nd, your plan will automatically change to the plan that you choose on your next cycle.”

Again, this only affects new customers looking to subscribe to these plans or people who want to switch to them from their existing plan. Customers already using one of the plans listed above won’t be affected by this change, happening at 11:59PM on April 22, 2019.

Public Mobile launched new retail kiosks this week in Alberta and Quebec, with the next debut set for April 18th in Richmond, BC.
