Telus Completes $700 Million Acquisition of ADT Canada

Last month, Telus announced it was set to acquire ADT Canada in a $700 million deal, to expand its security and smart home services.

Today, Telus says the acquisition is now complete, with both companies set to integrate their businesses “over the coming months.”

“The acquisition of ADT Canada builds on TELUS’ commitment to leverage our globally recognised wireless and PureFibre networks and industry-leading customer service to improve the lives of Canadians, bringing state-of-the-art connectivity, control, and convenience to more homes and businesses, supported by our commitment to privacy and security,” said Darren Entwistle, President and CEO of TELUS, in an issued statement.

Telus says ADT Canada customers will soon get offers from Telus to “save on their security services” and other upgrade offers. ADT Canada says it is the number one security company in Canada.
