Telus Brings Toy Story 5 to GTA Stores With Free Power Banks
Telus is bringing Toy Story 5 into five Greater Toronto Area stores next month, with life-size props, family photo opportunities and limited-edition power banks for some customers.
The carrier told iPhone in Canada on Friday the in-store activation will run October 17 and 18, timed to the Pixar sequel’s arrival on Disney+. Visitors can take family photos, including a Lilypad photo op featuring life-size Toy Story 5 props.
The first 25 customers who make any purchase at a participating store on either day will also receive a limited-edition Toy Story 5 power bank, Telus said.
The company is using the activation to promote the Stream+ bundle, which combines Disney+, Netflix and an Amazon Prime membership under one subscription. Telus said the bundle saves subscribers up to 15% compared with paying for the services separately. Stream+ also recently added a YouTube Premium add-on for subscribers.
For those outside the Toronto area, Telus is also running a nationwide Ultimate Home Cinema contest on its website. One winner will receive a 4K TV, a soundbar and one year of Stream+ Premium, which includes ad-free Netflix and Disney+ plus an Amazon Prime membership.
Participating stores include Telus locations at Toronto Eaton Centre, Square One, Sherway Gardens, Pen Centre and Vaughan Mills. The activations will be available throughout the weekend during each store’s regular hours.
