TELUS Easy Roam Expands to Internationally for $10 Per Day

TELUS Easy Roam, the company’s roaming option first launched for visits to the United States for $7 per day, allowing customers to use their existing plan while away.

In an emailed statement to iPhone in Canada, TELUS announced this morning Easy Roam is now available internationally in 127 destinations, such as England, China or even Turks and Caicos, for $10 per day.

To enable Easy Roam, postpaid TELUS customers can text TRAVEL to 7626 from their device or also use My Account online or on their smartphone to check out roaming options and passes.

TELUS explains the Easy Roam option “will go a long way to alleviating that pain point and give our customers more flexibility to stay connected while travelling.”

US Easy Roam launched just over a year ago. Similar options are available from rivals, such as Rogers Roam Like Home and Bell’s Roam Better. A recent study commissioned by Rogers declared their own roaming plan as a better weekend option compared to TELUS and Bell.

While using a local SIM card and plan with your unlocked iPhone is usually much more cost effective, these Big 3 roaming options make it easy for those who don’t want the hassle of switching numbers and SIM cards.

The TELUS Travel website lists all destinations where Easy Roam applies, and will soon be updated to reflect the expanded availability.
