Telus Promo $75/15GB Plan Now Live in Response to Rogers

Telus promo $75 15

After Rogers announced Infinite ‘unlimited’ data plans yesterday, Telus acknowledged a promotional response was coming in the form of a $75/15GB plan.

While the Rogers Infinite plans are a new offering, the Telus plan is a promotional response, offering 5GB of extra data on a $75/10GB plan, for 24 months only. The plan is available for BYOD customers and new activations. It appears existing customers on contract are unable to switch to this plan.

Rogers Infinite plans, after initial data buckets are used, have throttled data at 256 kbps speeds. The Telus promotional plan will see traditional overages charged at $10/100MB ($100/1GB).

The Telus website reads, “It’s our biggest Summer Splash Sale yet. Get 10 GB + 5 GB bonus for 24 months for $75 per month when you bring your own device, or from just $85 per month with a new device.”

According to the Telus website fine print, the promo plan offer ends on July 2, 2019, and is “available on business and consumer accounts only.”

Telus goes on to say it’s only “Available on select plans. Data may not be shared with any other subscriber. Plan is available for activations and renewals, not available for rate plan changes. Not stackable with any other code based offers. 5GB of bonus data will remain on subscriber line for 24 months so long as subscriber maintains eligibility.”

Bell launched their own promotional ‘unlimited’ data plans this morning, matching Rogers, however, the former’s plans do not include shareable data, and expire on June 30, 2019.

Will you be jumping on any of these new plans from the Big 3?
