Videotron’s Fizz Mobile to End Introductory Pricing in April

Videotron launched their online wireless brand, Fizz Mobile, back in November 2018 with introductory pricing, to help build buzz and an early following.

In a recent announcement on Facebook and their website, Fizz Mobile has announced “all good things must come to an end,” saying their introductory pricing is set to end in April.

Fizz Mobile explains:

The introductory period will end in April. The exact date will be communicated with enough lead time to allow you to order your SIM card and activate your mobile line with us.

When the launch prices end, those who jumped on early will be able to keep their plan, unless they decide to switch to a different plan.

Fizz Mobile offered promo pricing for customers in Quebec and Ottawa, with plans priced from $17 for 2GB of data. The first customers of the service were part of a small group of beta testers.

Videotron launched Fizz from a team of 28 people, with a startup mentality, according to a profile of the company from Montreal-based publication Isarta Infos, published back in January.
