Review: 3G Power Pack by Santok

Today we have an accessory review called the “3G Power Pack” from Santok.

The 3G Power Pack is a 2 in 1 accessory; a stylish leather case and a battery backup for the iPhone 3G. These are really the best types of cases and it is simply too bad that there are not enough of them out there. The 3G Power Pack is a very stylish leather case that provides 100% all around protection for your iPhone. Moreover, you get cut outs for the camera and the headphone jack and access to the volume buttons and silent switch.

Also, the front flap covers the entire iPhone screen, the sides of the case are lightly padded, and both the front and back halves of the case have a hard piece of protective material in them to save your iPhone from hard impact drops. Lastly, the entire case, when turned on its side, acts as a stand for easy video viewing. And this is just the first half of the case!

The second half is the backup battery. When you slide your iPhone into this case, it sits in the cradle of a recharable Li-ion polymer battery which is great for keeping your iPhone charged while you’re on the go. However, the really nice thing with this is that the battery on the case has an on/off  switch. So when you plug the iPhone in, you do not necessarily need to use the battey if you do not need to. However, when your iPhone battery is getting low, just flip the switch!

When the battery is on, the charge is rated to get you up to 300 hours of extra standby time, up to 7 hours of talk time, and up to 24 hours of audio playback. The 3G Power Pack comes with a mini-USB charger to keep the battery pack all charged up.
