If you subscribe to a Google One plan for storage from Google, the company is offering up a freebie for Canadians, in the form of a complimentary Google Home Mini speaker. This perk only applies to those who signed up and activated before August 6, 2019.
How to claim your freebie? Sign into your Google One account and scroll down—you’ll see the benefit noting, “Claim your Google Home Mini – on us.”
You’ll be provided with a redemption code which will be automatically applied at checkout. Shipping, however, is not free, as it’s only available for orders from Google Play over $45 CAD.
In this case, shipping is $5, which is not bad for a free Google Home Mini speaker with a $79 MSRP. After taxes, it came to $5.59 for the speaker.
The fine print says the offer ends on August 30, 2019, and the promo code is only available for the Google Store Canada only. The redemption codes are good for one Google One Plan.
